The Mini Dolphins program is for 6 and under swimmers that are still learning to swim and are not quite ready to participate in swim meets. Swimmers will be instructed in all strokes. The goal is to have all mini dolphins swimming in meets as soon as they are ready, at the coaches recommendations. All mini dolphins are invited to participate in all other team social activities. We encourage you to attend meets with your child so they can understand what a swim meet is all about.
New this year: Swim assessments are required for new Mini Dolphins, new 6&Us, and swimmers who were Mini Dolphins last summer. The coaches will conduct assessments to make sure that swimmers are ready to participate in a swim team environment and to place children at the correct level for practices.
Families that only have Mini Dolphin swimmer(s) are required to:
Follow the Responsibilities: including the Fundraising Requirement and Work Assignment Deposit (see tab for more detailed information) except that:
- They only need to Work a minimum of 2 work assignments at Home Dual Swim Meets.
- Attend the Swim Meet Orientation/Time Trials on May 19, 2018 (or any home dual meet prior to the mini dolphin family working their first work assignment)
- Mini Dolphins do not participate in the invitationals therefore they do not need to work 2 invitational assignments
- Mini Dolphins do not typically participate in the TCSL Meet and the Concord City Meet. If your Mini Dolphin is asked to participate in either of these meets and you agree to your mini dolphin swimming in the TCSL meet and/or Concord City Meet, then you will be required to work at any meet your mini dolphin swims in.
